What are the 2 programs that are scheduled
as part of my treatment?
The programs are based on the physical and emotional conditions of every
guest and are customized according to their needs. However, the 1st
session will be same for all – a one hour of self-inquiry facilitated by
our Mindfulness Coach, calibrating your assumptions and reviewing
potentially disempowering neuropathways etc., followed by a 2nd session
on Balancing of Energy Meridians (Chakras) combined by empowering voice
inductions.
Will I need more than 2 sessions for total
recovery?
Depending on the life-experiences, health conditions, emotional strength
etc., additional programs are scheduled for the guests. This will
include: Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction Meditations, Experiential
Outdoor Engagements, Hypnotic Voice Inductions using Neuro-Linguistic
Programming & Hypnotherapy methods, Future-Reality Tune-In using Dr Joe
Dispenza’s Tune-In Method, Sound Meditation using Tibetan Bowls,
Enneagram Personality Profiling to help you understand the Personality
Types and Integration Pathways, Action Metaphors to break Limiting
Beliefs, etc.
What are the benefits of Mindfulness Programs at
Poonthottam?
We are the only Ayurvedam Wellness institution that has Mindfulness formally
integrated into its treatment regimen. This will help our guests to not only
experience the total healing of the physical ailments, but also feel emotionally
renewed, rejuvenated, and empowered through our mindfulness engagement. The new
self-awareness these programs will offer will be a refreshing and beautiful
experience.
I have gone through a tough time; will these
programs be customized to suit my personal needs?
Of course. No two mindfulness sessions are the same. The sessions are all based
on the individual case assessments. There are guests who require a guided
self-inquiry, others who need us to help them address anxiety, depression, and
low self-esteem. There are also those who suffer from excess stress, and those
who need life-style alignment and habits renewal, among other requirements. All
these sessions are customized to meet individual requirements.
How will I sustain the progress from the Mindfulness
sessions when I go back home?
Our Mindfulness Coach will help you design a Personal Development Plan during
the sessions and shall be available to hand-hold you during the next 21 days
through email, WhatsApp, etc., to ensure that what is achieved as progress from
Poonthottam is sustained even after the treatments are over.
Does Mindfulness have any scientific merits to prove
its effectiveness?
“Dhi Dhairya Atmaadi Vijnanam Doshaushadam Param” is a shloka from
Ashtangahrudayam (the original Ayurvedam literature dating back to 5000 years
ago), evidently highlighting the importance of the mind in developing a healthy
state of being. In the contemporary world, there is ample evidence cited within
clinically proven research conducted by eminent scholars. Dr. Jon Kabat Zinn of
Massachusetts Institute of Technology has conducted 40 years of medical research
on mindfulness and related subjects. He has published his findings in his book,
“Full Catastrophe Living”. It highlights the influence of Mindfulness in healing
and in overall personal transformation. The scientific data presented in the
book “Becoming Supernatural” by Dr. Joe Dispenza substantiates the power of the
mind and how it works.
Are there any Mindfulness based group sessions as
part of these programs?
Yes. Some of our experiential activities are group sessions that guests can
attend voluntarily. Activities such as walking meditation are conducted as group
exercises, in addition to certain meditation exercises we organize.
Are there separate yoga sessions organized in
addition to the Mindfulness Engagement?
Yes. We have a professional yoga trainer to guide and facilitate yoga sessions
for our guests, in addition to the mindfulness activities they will experience
at Poonthottam Ayurvedasram.
Are these Mindfulness sessions meant for everyone?
Ideally yes. When you are in Poonthottam Ayurvedasram for 7 – 14 – 21 days, it
is a great opportunity to reflect, realign and rediscover your true potential.
For senior citizens, these Mindfulness Sessions will teach the best methods of
Active Ageing. For our middle-aged guests, this is an opportunity to deep-dive
